Importing .d8n's into Autocad 2015

In the past we could take a .d8n (microstation type file), rename it to a .dgn and import it into Autocad. With 2015, I can't get the process to work. Has anyone had this issue? Or have a resolution to get around it?

Thanks!

What's a d8n file if I may ask? I can;t even find a reference for it on the BeCommunites website.

It’s a file produced by Microstation. Usually accompanied by .dgn’s. You can even export as a .d4n file.
