Hi,

sysvar COMMANDPREVIEW (>>>details<<<).

BTW: I have not had any performance issues with that yet. What object types are slow for previewing?

Thanks Alfred!

its just that milisecond that makes me miss the line - especially if the lines are gray...

typically this happens on polylines that have width assigned to them...

see the attached.

i invoked trim

spacebar to select all

clicked for crossing window and it froze...

This definately happens when trimming complex 3d polylines... even mildly complex..

Hi,

>> Cmon AutoDesk - fix it....

You marked the thread as solved with disabling _COMMANDPREVIEW ... isn't it solved or what should Autodesk fix?

If you think it's a bug (which I don't think as there is an option available to avoid these some milliseconds, as you reported), then send the info as support case so it can be forwarded to the development team.

Alfred, I apologize - my bad - I just assumed this was a booboo without checking...

Since you are here - maybe I could bring up another one that never got resolved.

imagine you have a drawing with lots of stuff in it... lots of blocks - say 10mb file.

When I go in and edit one of the blocks and save the block edit and get out into the main drawing - the main drawing is ever so slow to respond to things... Why is that? is there a solution to it?

Hi Autodesk coders,

may i bring this in as a suggestion.

Out in some lines between these Gigabytes there are allrady in AutoCAD..

..

if

number of items is bigger than ( lets say..: userdefined)

then

temporary turn off preview effect

it sometimes slows things down really fast. Especially trimming with 'fence'method

Kind regards
