How to lock point cloud location without disabling cropping

Is it possible to lock the location of a point cloud without disabling the ablity to use the cropping functions in AutoCAD 2015?  With the point cloud unlocked I keep inadvertently moving it somehow.

Hi Brian, 

If the point cloud is locked (even on a locked layer) the cropping functions won't work, but you can switch back and forth between locked and unlocked through the Properties palette (see attached image). Pick the point cloud, set Locked to No, crop, and then set Lock back to Yes.
