¿How to export .3ds from Autocad 2014?
I want to export to .3ds ; Then import 3ds with KeyShot. Because if I import dwg in KeyShot, the faces are faceted.
I think the .3ds is the only format that puts me autosmooth in a solid 3d.

Hi,
exporting to 3DS format is not supported since AutoCAD 2008 (if my remebering is ok).
To export geometry for visualization use the FBX-format instead and then you can convert it (using >>>FBX Converter<<<) to many formats used by rendering/visualization systems (if FXB is not supported directly).
For geometry the 3DS format has limitations (like the number of vertizes per object/mesh) that makes it not easy to transfer data nowadays.

Hi,
>> I make a simple sphere, a 3D solid, and exported to .fbx
Can you upload that drawing?

Hi,
>> exported to .fbx, tell me something like...
>> You can not export any of the specified objects...
Sorry, my brain seems to get (small) black holes 😉
We had that some times ago .. the difference is if you start command _EXPORT and then chose type FBX or if you start command _FBXEXPORT.
First does not work, second command works (same issue with 2015, not repaired).
