How to edit view properties by properties palette/quick calc ?

Is there any way to edit view properties by properties palette ?

In properties palette, the view properties are grayed out, but the quick calc is active.

How can I edit the view properties by quick calc ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you elaborate or post a screenshot of the grayed out area? usually if it's grayed-out it means something else is preventing you from doing it.

Here is the screenshot.

All the view properties are grayed out, but the quick calc is active. Why?

NO SELECTION at the top means there is nothing to edit, so any 'object edit' property is grayed out, aka unavailable.

That's how PROPERTIES works, you must select an object first. You're using the wrong tool for "view properties" but I'm still unsure what you mean, are you just looking for VIEW command?

Im looking for "What is the role of Quick calc there"
as you can see the quick calc icon is active and you can call the dialog, but how it'll work there?

The role is apparently that you can open it, and do math.

And no, there's no real point in it being available at that moment, from that interface locatin.  It's just that the place you are at is a Number field in the palette, and number fields include an access for QuickCalc.  The programmers did not bother generating a special subclass of NumberFiledsWithOutQC, but simply used the one that existed.

A good call on their part, otherwise the wrong subclass of number fields would show up where there's actually a use for QC
