Hi guys,
I have created a 3D model in Autocad of a large plant using the Acad3D template.
I did not realise at the time that this template uses feet and inches. Throughout the drawing I have created quite a number of blocks which now if I insert these into another drawing (we normally work in meters) scales incorrectly. For example: the drawing now thinks that a length that should be 1m now equals 1.5 inches, thus that the measurement then becomes 0.0254m on the drawing.
Surely there must be a simple way to change the block units. Can anyone advise how this might be done?
I have completed hours of work on this project so unfortunatly starting again is not an option.
Any help would be extremly appreciated.
Kind regards,

I don't know how this will work with blocks,
but try the -dwgunits command and follow the command line prompts.
The CADWhisperer YouTube Channel
Open the block in the block editor look in the properties pallet and set the units to meters. To open the properties palettes goto tools-palettes-properties or ctrl+1.
There is also on the menu bar Format->Units... hover over the insertion scale drop down box for the description, you can change the scale a block is inserted in without changing the block itself.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried this already but it just changes the overall drawing units and does not change the Block Unit.
Is there a command where you can change the Block Unit?
Thanks,
Perfect, thanks for that mate!
The first option works like a dream.
The second does not as it just changes the overall units that you are drawing in.
But overall problem solved!
Cheers
