Help with MEASURE command required

Hi All,

I am having problems with the MEASURE command.

I wish to place a shape along a path a regular intervals for a paving detail. I have created a block (a simple rectangle 200x300 named 'set') and drawn a polyline to act as a guide.

However when I execute the MEASURE command my

Select object to measure: 'Click on polyline'

Specify length of segment or Block: B

Enter name of block to insert: set

Align block with object?: Y

Specify length of segment: 200

However when I execute the MEASURE command my newly inserted blocks generate in what appears to be a random location within my drawing. If I wanted to generate these blocks along a linear path it would not be such a problem as I could simply use the MOVE command (although not ideal!)

However when I try to generate them along a closed circular path they generate in a ofset location rendering the MOVE command useless.

I hope this makes sense!

Thankyou

Did you set the Base Point for insertion when creating the block?

Have you tried the Array on path?

Can you attach your dwg file here?

Hi,

It was indeed the base point that was the issue!

Thankyou very much
