Hatches showing points in 2015

We just upgraded my workstation from ACAD 2011 to ACAD 2015.  One thing that's become "funky" is some of my hatches.  I have a woodgrain hatch that I've used quite a bit.  I set its tranparenvy at 75%.  Worked fine and looked great in 2011.  But now in 2015, when I set the transparency to 75%, everywhere in the hatch that the wood "grain" bends, there is a small dot - looks almost like a control point at the intersection of each line making up the hatch.  There are literally hundreds of these dots on the final drawing.  These dots print with the lines so it looks very messy - more like line segments with dots at each end rather than a good, smooth hatch.  Any idea what these dots are and how to get rid of them?  Attached is a PDF of a drawing showing the problem.   You may have to zoom in to see the dots - but they do print very pronounced.

You mention "some of your hatches have become funky'.

Are these custom hatches?

Can you attach a cad file with these hatches that are a problem, maybe someone can check it out.
