Font issue with linking excel spreadsheet

I am linking some schedules into autocad using a data link. In excel the font is calibri & i want it to be archquik.shx. i can change each cell manually in autocad but when i update the link it changes back to the true type font. How can i get my table to look & plot like archquik?

Excel controls the file: aka "linked".

Once that sentence sinks in, I believe you can now solve your need. Hint: you need a TTF font that looks like your custom stick-font (that old arch series had them, try an internet search. if not, find another).

PS: if you want AutoCAD to control the spreadsheet, break the link.

yeah, thanks. I forgot to post that as part of my question. what ttf font would be the closest to archquik. I definitely want excel to control the data. That was the whole point of using the data links. I want to have one spreadsheet control the data that appears in all drawings.

As I wrote, there used to be a TTF version fo that one, try a Google Search.

You can search of a replacement as well while you are at it: there might be something in Windows on your PC that looks good.

You'll find one that's good enough eventually 🙂
