Failed to open record!

Hey Guy's,

I'm working in one of my colleagues drawings and whenever the drawing is regenerated (for instance when panning or orbiting) I get the message "Failed to open record!".

Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it? The error message doesn't further specify what's going on.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Alex

Hi,

what happens if you use command _WBLOCK to export your drawing entities into a new DWG and open this new DWG then?

AUDIT or RECOVER command fix it?
Are you both using the exact same version of AutoCAD?
Did AutoCAD report anything missing when you opened the file?

Hi pendean,

Thanks again for your reply. I already did a AUDIT and RECOVER, didn't help I'm afraid (although a lot of items were fixed during this process).

No XREF's missing.

Cheers,

Alex
