Erase button causes AutoCad to shutdown.

Good Morning,

I am in the middle of a drawing, and everytime I go to click the erase button AutoCAD sends an error and shuts down. Why does this keep happening?

So if you type ERASE the same things happens?
AutoCAd version? Windows version? Is the problem repeatable on demand? one file or evey single file you have does this?
Did this just start today? What else is different?
If not, what's the code behind the button you are clicking on? CUI command, go and find out.
