Dynamic block, User defined text property?

Hopefully this is an easy one, my co-worker and I are trying to figure out how to build a title block for one of our drawings that has a user defined text variable, that can be changed from any sheet (there are like 12 of them) and will update accross layouts?  Is this possible.  Really trying to avoid entering the block editor every time we need to change a piece of text.

It seems like there should be an easy way to create a user defined property that would be linked inside of the block, but also editable.  Thanks in advance.

I don't believe 'Rtext' is what I'm looking for, as it is self populating and not dictated by user entry from what I tell.

You need to reference something outside of the block definition, which you can do with a field that uses a diesel expression (or reference a system variable), does Autocad support the setenv command, I think it is only available in LT. The only drawback to that is that these variables are stored in the registry and are not linked to that drawing directly. Whichever way you do it though, you will have to edit something, and doing that editing in the block editor doesn't take too long - how often will you be altering it. You could set custom properties using dwgprops and reference those using a field in the block, again you will need to go through a dialogue to edit those values.
