I receive this message when trying to open, recover or import a dxf. -
Block definitions may not be nested on line 18446.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.
And obviously the drawing does not open.
I am using Autocad 2014 on Win 7.
Any ideas anyone?

Hello from France
Your DXF file is INCORRECT from a syntaxic point of view for AutoCAD ...
Is it possible to get a copy (in .ZIP/.RAR) of your DXF file ?

Hi.
What do you mean? "Your DXF file is INCORRECT from a syntaxic point of view for AutoCAD"
Is the file corupt?
If so I'll just re-draw it.

What is the origin of the DXF file?
It seems as though the DXF import functions in AutoCAD have become more rigourous over the years.
I've actually created some DXF files which failed to open on the same exact version of AutoCAD.
You might try downloading an AutoCAD clone, or using an older version of AutoCAD, or even posting it here for someone else to try.
