try this post
if you have the latest version of True View you can convert the files to any version going backwards
trying to get dwgtruview installed, but having problems with the microsoft.net framework v 40 sp1.
still dont know what version the file is, or if it is a good file.
i hve no idea what program/version the customer is using.
im on autocad20004 on windows xp sp3
if anyone can take a shot at opening this file?
i opened it and saved it down.
are you on 32 bit or 64 bit xp?
you are welcome
the .net issue is a different one
you may find a solution to repair current .net (version) on google
i recall a utility you can download to fix
where support for XP has expired it may be more difficult
good luck
For future reference, if you open a dwg file using Notepad, the first 6 characters will identify the drawing file format (your orignal file was AC1024)
AC1027 = AutoCAD 2013/2014/2015
AC1024 = AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012
AC1021 = AutoCAD 2007/2008/2009
AC1018 = AutoCAD 2004/2005/2006
AC1015 = AutoCAD 2000/2000i/2002
