double click text editing

On some text I can double click edit and it works, however on others I double click and it says "unknown command DDEDIT". How can I fix this so I can double click and it will edit any text? (2015).

DDEDIT command is now obsolete, it's been replaced with TEXTEDIT and MTEDIT. You probably migrated your settings from a previous version and DDEDIT is still asigned to Text.

Use the Properties Palette (or LIST) to verify whether the object that's giving the "Unknown Command" is TEXT or MTEXT (or something else?), then go into the CUI and update the Doubleclick action for that type of object.

and/or

update the Autocad alais file ( .pgp file)  so DDEDIT calls TEXTEDIT.
