Does AutoCAD support multiple lines of vertical setting on mtext?

I guess it does NOT support it because it seems that it does NOT work properly .
For example, in case of multiple lines of “Horizontal” setting, it works properly like followings.
But in case of multiple lines of “Vertical” setting, it does NOT work properly like followings.

Configure of “Horizontal”:
ABC
DEF
GHI

Configure of “Vertical”:
ABC DEF GHI

In my perspective, it should go downward like followings.

In my “perspective” of Vertical”:
A
B
C

D
E
F

G
H
I

P.S.
We are making application software for importing DXF file from AutoCAD.
If AutoCAD does not support multiple lines of vertical setting on mtex, our software also should not support it, I think.
I want to know the specification for multiple lines of vertical setting of AutoCAD.

This behavior is documented in the AutoCAD help:

About Vertical Text Support for Asian Languages - Note the behavior of True Type fonts that are prefixed with @.  In this case, the font has to be designed specifically for vertical use and the Vertical effect would not apply.

Text Style Dialog Box - Look under Effects - Vertical.

AutoCAD does support multiple lines of vertical text, but only when the text style supports it.  If the style does not support it, then it will display exactly as shown in your attached image.

TrueType fonts do not support Vertical orientation, but several of the .SHX based fonts that come with AutoCAD do support it (romand.shx, romans.shx, etc).

Use the STYLE command and browse through the list of available fonts and you will notice that the checkbox for Vertical is only enabled for the .SHX fonts that support it.
