Dissapearing grip points

When I select more than 100 entities all of the grip pointd dissapear. With ACAD 2002 there seemed to be no limit to the number of entities you could select without losing the grips, but with ACAD 2007 they started dissapearing though with '07 clicking "View" "Regen" would bring them back into view (unless you accidentally click on another entity). With ACAD 2013 if I go over 100 that's it. This is mostly a problem for me as I use the spacebar shortcuts extensively in creating and manipulating my drawings. I have found other ways to  to acomplish my needs such as using the move command but I have much successful history using my old methods and would like to continue with them.

In options, go to the selection tab and change the Object selection limit for display of grips.  From the help file

Object Selection Limit for Display of Grips

Suppresses the display of grips when the selection set includes more than the specified number of objects. (GRIPOBJLIMIT system variable)

The valid range is 1 to 32,767. The default setting is 100.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that did the trick. I know that the solution to many problems can be found in the help files. I have a tendancy to ask the questions that don't seem to have easy answers. Also it seems that asking in  the correct manor is essential to actually getting an answer. I have been a user of ACAD since 2002 but have only very receintly started using this (or any) forum.

You're welcome.  Yeah, I've been a user since R13 so just a few years longer than you (started way back in '98).  The forums are great!  I just set up a RSS reader (reader.google.com) to keep track of the posts and scan them a couple of times a day to see if I can help out.  Plus it's a great way to "absorb" information and see how other people might handle a problem.
