dimensions not visible in AutoCAD LT 2011.

Hi,

I just loaded AutoCAD LT 2011 (from 2009 upgrade) on a Dell Precision laptop running Windows 7 Pro with both integrated Intel HD and Nvidia dedicated graphics.  The dimensions and leaders in both model space and paper space are barely visible.  I can hover over them and they highlight and I can grip them, they just appear really faint.  

I have tried numerous things to no avail including changing from Aero theme to basic, updating the video drivers through the Autodesk site.  I've also updated LT with 1.1 and 2 updates.  The annotation visibility and auto annotation scaling features are turned on.  Nothing seems to help.  

The dimensions almost look faint like they are on a XREF file.  Is some setting that might change this?

Object Transparency? This feature was introduced in 2011.
