Custom Window Tag MVB

Admittedly I do not create custom MVB's often.  I am attempting to create a custom window tag. (Hexagon rather than diamond...)

In a new drawing, I have set the sscale to 1'-0=1'-0".  I inserted the OOTB (AEC 6) window tag, exploded it, and changed the attributes for my needs.  I created the custom linework within a 1" sqaure box, blocked it and attributes and all work fine.   

What doesn't work is the size.  When I selected the "definetag", and entered the insertion point, the block was created, but shrunk.  It comes into new drawings at a very samll scale.

What am I missing?

You are posting in the plain AutoCAD forum where MVBs are not an option: try posting in your actual product forum instead (Architecture?).
