Kinda new to forums and such... Hope I'm doing this correctly.

Like to get 3 .igs files converted to AutoCAD 2007 please.

Found one answer suggesting a lab called 'Convertor Fusion', which I could not find.

Thanks so much!

I have never heard of it.  What is the url to your source of information?

Can't find it now.  Initially did a Google search on "igs to DWG" and ended up somewhere in this forum.

A user responded to someone's post about converting .igs to DWG and it had a link to an AutoCAD page; seems like it was a lab page.

After clicking, I was redirected to a new page with lots of labs. I tried searching for the 'Convertor Fusion', and nothing was found.

I did see a message just know where somewhere had downloaded the 'Convertor Fusion', but it would not work for them.

Now I can't find that either.

Thanks,

Wayne

You can do the conversion in Inventor or free Inventor Fusion http://labs.autodesk.com or in AutoCAD 2013.

I didn't until your last message.  Part of the learning process of 'how to' in forums I guess.

Thanks so much!

May I ask what process you use to convert the .igs to .dwg?

Are you using a version of AutoCAD which allows you to do this, or an application designed to do it?

Thanks,

Wayne

In AutoCAD 2013 use IMPORT command and select IGS in the file type box.

May I please get 3 additional files converted to AutoCAD 2007?

Thanks so much!

It may be some time before we are able to move up to a newer version.

Is there a utility that would allow me to do the conversion so I don't have to bug you?

Thanks again!

Wayne
