Confirm AutoCAD 2014 Bug: Hatch Right-Click

Can someone else confirm this bug in AutoCAD 2014?

1.  Create a new drawing and make a closed polygon to drop a hatch into.
2.  Enter HATCH command.
3.  When the Hatch and Gradient dialog comes up, select "Add: Pick points" under the Boundaries section.
4.  Pick inside the object and RIGHT-CLICK to accept the hatch area (note that hitting spacebar here instead avoids the bug).
5.  Press "OK" on the Hatch and Gradient dialog.
6.  For me, at this point AutoCAD gives an "AutoCAD Error Aborting / FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation" message and then crashes the program with an option to attempt to save the drawing.  This happens every time.

I've reported this a number of times to Autodesk, but have never heard anything back from them on it and I just want to confirm it's a reproducible bug for others and not just me.

I can not confirm as when I right-click with the Ribbon active, the Hatch is completed, and the Hatch command ends normally. When I right-click without the Ribbon active, I get a right-click menu where I have to select [Enter] to procede. Doing so sends me back to the Hatch dialog box where clicking "OK" completes the hatch command as expected.

I have a vague recollection that there is a way to suppress the hatch right-click menu, but I don't remember how at the moment.

Nestly:

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I do get the right-click menu where I have to select [Enter] as well.  I overlooked that in my instructions.

I have HPDLGMODE set to 2, but I have HPQUICKPREVIEW off because it annoys me.

Just to be clear, I'm not using the Ribbon at all.  I'm entering HATCH at the command line.

Thanks for the reply, Ron.  It looks like there must be something wrong with my installation.  Fortunately, I use spacebar almost all of the time, but every once in a while I'll use the right-click method and crash it.

Perhaps post a sample drawing just to rule out any drawing based variables?

No problem hatching that on either... sorry.

When it crashes, are you getting a crash report dialog, if so make sure to send them as they contain data that may help diagnos the problem.

Thanks for trying, Nestly.

Yes, I do get a crash dialog and yes, I report it every time.  I used to get emails from Autodesk after submitting those and someone would contact me regarding the issue, but no one has contacted me about this or other issues in a long time.

They may contact you if they need more info or if they have a solution: otherwise nothing happens.

It's been years now and they have not correctly updated that prompt to reflect what will actually happen.

Given the responses, I'd say this is an isolated problem.  When I get a chance, I'll try testing it on my coworker's computer as well, since he has an identical configuration to mine.

My co-worker's computer is unaffected.  As a test, I went into a new profile and didn't have the problem.  However, as soon as I entered RIBBONCLOSE and ran the steps for the HATCH command described in the original post, it crashed again.  My co-worker has the Ribbon off as well, but his works fine.  I'm stumped at this point, but I don't want to spend a lot of time on this because 95% of the time I'm using spacebar instead of right-click anyway.

Just to close this thread out, I'm running 2015 on the same machine (clean OS install) and I am no longer having this problem.  It appears to have been a problem solely with my 2014 install on the previous OS install.  Thanks everyone for the responses on this.
