command line detailed step by step

i toggled my command line so it would be my main prompt so i could copy paste this info into a script.  i forgot to write this down and now i can't remember how to toggle it back.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

that just turns the command line on and off.  i need the setting to toggle detailed command line on/off.  detailed like when you do a -plot that steps you through a command step by step.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking either, if the F2 key isn't the answer, but could it be the setting of the CMDECHO System Variable?

its not those.  i'll try and give you and example

when i click express pulldown and select

-blocks

-replace blocks with another block

i don't get the window that pops up to select the block to replace.

i only get the command line with

Select the block to be replaced or[? = (select object)]:

the setting i'm looking for will toggle this and the selection boxes will open

Change CMDDIA = 1 and while you're at it, make sure FILEDIA = 1
