Changing multiple points to objects

I have hundreds of points and I need them all to be manhole symbols.  Is there a way to make one of them a block and match the rest so they all are blocks and use the MH sybol?  I have done it in the past, but I do not remember the specific command. Thanks!

Are you using plain AutoCAD or something else?
There are dozens of free and not so free lisp routines out there through Google search that do what you want in plain AutoCAD.

I am in Civil 3D Imperial.  I did this previously with making one of them a block or all of them and then matching characteristics.  I think I might have exploded it at one point so they are all different blocks.  I can't remember exactly what I did, but it wasn't using a lisp program.  I also remember learning it from a youtube video, but now I can't find it.  Frustrating when you find a solution, then lose it...

If they are Autocad points then convert them to Civil3d points, then just create a point sytle using the MH block as the symbol. If you need help ask in the Civil3D forum.
