change formula in field linked to excel table cell

I use fields which are related to cells in a linked excel table in my drawing to show the subtotals and total areas of apartments.

At the moment, I either have to create a new field for each number, or copy the fields, and edit the field formula to the correct cell or row

eg. For apartment no.1 the apartment area is 80m2, and it has a 13m2 carspace.

So my 2 fields for that apartment have a formula

Table(8796079072880).A1 (subtotal, from excel spreadsheet - column A row 1)

Table(8796079072880).B1 (subtotal, from excel spreadsheet - column B row 1)

For apartment no.2, I have to edit the formulas to

Table(8796079072880).A2 (subtotal, from excel spreadsheet - column A row 2)

Table(8796079072880).B2 (subtotal, from excel spreadsheet - column B row 2)

Would love to be able to click through like tcount command, and change each formula to the next row

Any help would be great.

Hello Hayleyl,

Could you upload the drawing file and the excel file?

You may want to remove the other objests irrelevant to this issue.

If I understand correctly, after you provide a formula to a cell, you want to apply the automatically updated formula to the next cell by like TCOUNT command(or clicking the corner of cell and dragging it in excel). Right?

Unfortunately AutodCAD doesn't have that feature, but if you may get what you want by editing excel data.

Thanks for your reply.

The excel is additions of the different parts.

So changing the excel wouldn’t work.

I think I would need some sort of lisp, to select the fields (which have been copied from the first)

And change the part of the formula that relates to the row or the column.

One that changes the row incrementally, as you click through, and one that changes all selected to the next column.

Thanks very much for your reply though

How did you get the table ID for your formula fields?

Hi Jwscad,

Not sure what you mean by table "ID"?

It's part of the formula in the field. It looks like "Table(8796084232320).B6" where the 13 digits is the table ID. I did figure it out though but thanks for the reply anyway.
