Cant region a 2D object for Extruding

I'm having trouble converting a 2D profile to a region for extruding. I'm a beginner so Apologies if I've missed somthing obvious.

Drawing attached. (Drawn in AutoCAD 14)

Use EXTRACT EDGES then Extrude

Just tried it, I can manage to extrude it, but not as a solid region. I want it solid like cube, and then i will subtract the circle in the middle, its ment to be one half of a plier.

I can't open it because I don't have newer autocad and true convert doesn't do Educational drawing.

If you can extrude and it doesn't give you solid, you have to look at the prompt line, there is option for Solid or Surface.

I've saved it as a 07 drawing, let me know if it works.

Hi,

I already have answered to your previous post, but it seems you (or an admin) has removed that.

Your start segment and end segment are self-intersecting, that makes it impossible to extrude the object.

Presspull is more forgiving that Extrude.

Hi,

>> Presspull is more forgiving that Extrude.

Tried it with that drawing? I didn't get it to run with PRESSPULL, what version did you use?
