can you flatten a 3d element

I have a 3D element that has a curve and a bend. I need to flatten it so I can plot it out on a piece of 1/4" plywwod so when I put into place it will have the right cut.  Is there a way to flatten it the element? See attached drawing.

I used Autodesk Inventor to create this Flat Pattern.

This is what I was looking for. I tried both "flatten and flat shot" commands but every time it would curve the long straight part, and I was concerned it would not plot correctly. I'm using AutoCad 2014, I'm assuming the commands are the same. Did you need to change the UCS?

AutoCAD does not have a function to create Flat Patterns, you need Autodesk Inventor or a 3rd party add-in.
