I just wonder like that, it would be really nice if autocad would give me area in m² instead of mm² when i do "area".
Is there a way to correct that inside my Dwg template?
Lets say I take an area on a parking which is 5783.08 m² the builtin Autocad Converter don't want to convert the 5783087900 mm² autocad just gave me i get an error message telling me i am putting too much values inside the convertor.
Thanks
What if you set -dwgunits to Meters (6)?

What you could do is open a new drawing, open up the units dialog box and set the insertion scale to meters in the drop down. Then xref your drawing into this new drawing. Trace a polyline around the area or use the ncopy command to copy an existing polyline from the xref to the current drawing. Then use the area command with the object option selected to find the area in square meters.
i'll verify all your techniques, i can't do it right now.
I was hoping for only a system variable to change the area behavior, not doing an entire gymnastic routine.
But ill verify anyways.
Working in meters could work in some type of plans i believe.
Thanks

What happens if you change the system variable -dwgunits to 6?

-dwgunits 6 looks like a good solution, i get my dist. in m.
(:
But i have to work with it a little bit to see how it can affect other things.
Thanks.
