I work at a tradeshow booth design company. I am a graphic designer and use CAD to pull views from the 3d design to lay out graphics. On a PC we were able to copy any paste into illustrator or make a wmf file and we would only get what was not hidden in autocad.
Now, thankfully, I am on a Mac. I can not seem to copy and paste into illustrator??? If I have items hidden and export an eps - they show up in illustrator. Same with a PDF.
Does anyone have an answer for me? My workaround right now is to open the dwg that is in my clipboard cache in autocad, resave and open in illustrator. I'm trying to convince my boss the Mac is better for us designers but this isn't helping 🙂
