We have a machine with Tasks Scheduled to do scripted processing of AutoCAD files.
We are currently experiencing a increasing problem where multiple ACBROWSERHOST.exe processes are left running during the scripted ACAD.exe tasks.
Watching the processes, AutoCAD 2013 spawns the ACBROWSERHOST.exe, AutoCAD does it's thing and then quits, but it leaves the ACBROWSERHOST.exe as a orphan process.
Since it is scripted as a task, we cannot see anything in the foreground like a question or dialog or error, if one is presented. When run in the foreground, we do not see the problem.
The number of orphans increases until the machine starts to fail on it's tasks.
For the most part, this has just started to happen more and more frequently in the last few weeks.
What is ACBROWSERHOST.exe trying to do or connect to and how can it be corrected or disabled? Don't mind it running if it exits with AutoCAD, but if not, need it completely disabled...
Need help please.
John
Hi John,
This could be related to Autodesk 360.
Please try updating Autodesk 360 or disabling the sync option in Options -> Online tab
If that does not help, please provide the detailed steps to reproduce the behavior.
