When in Paperspace there is a little button at the bottom right corner of the workspace which lets you toggle between showing annotative objects for all scales or showing only the current VP scale annotative objects. Toggle them back and forth and see if your dimensions appear then disappear.
I have a question about Annotative Dimensions and Scale,
does anyone know how my ram it takes up.. I seem to have a problem with the scaling like when you have a lot of scaleing in one drawing and you click on one it seem to take a long time to be selected and then you have quit a lot of diffrent scales of the item... some time it even crashes autocad...
I know that std dimensions have quite a lot of dxf codes in them... does Annotative Dimensions and object ave more?
thanks for your time
"does anyone know how my ram it takes up."
What are the specs of your computer?
What is the size of the dwg?
Working over a network?
Hard to know what may be causing this slowness issue without some additional information.
Thanks For jay...
the drawing are over a network, they range in size form 1Mb to 2 Mb and were working of laptops with 8Gb ram..
at the moment we are looking at creating every block in to Annotative blocks. so I am looking into what if we do this how will the affect the productivaty of the work... a few year ago we went to completely x-refing all drawing and it ended up with some drawing taking over an hour to open and a lot of the time autocad crashed due to taking up to much memeory...
thanks for your reply
Just make sure SAVEFIDELITY is turned off...
Is ANNOALLVISIBLE set to 1?
Struggled with this for quite a bit here this morning. That worked. Does that equate to one of the buttons in the lower right corner?
Thank you for the help in any event.
Yes the ANNOALLVISIBLE system variable is also same as this button on the lower right corner of screen.
