A display driver file (.hdi) is missing or has been corrupted.

Hi, I searched alot of posts and forums, but couldn't find the right answer to this error.

I posted this under AutoCAD, but the error which I came up was with DWG TrueView 2014.

I get de HDI error if I start DWG TrueView without the /NOHARDWARE paramater, so I changed the shortcut, but the filetype association doesn't look at this, so if yoy start a DWG-file from the explorer, then DWG TrueView starts without the /NOHARDWARE parameter.

After alot of troubleshooting I found an solution which solved this problem for me, maybe that it will help others or get an discussion started about this issue to get a better solution.

Delete the registry folder HKCU\Software\Autodesk\DWG TrueView\ R12.

Start DWG TrueView with the /NOHARDWARE option and then close it.

Copy/paste the following keys in a .REG file (or download the attachment) and import the file in to your registry. 

Then you can open a .DWG file from the explorer in DWG TrueView 2014 without the /NOHARDWARE option.
