2 question

1. Construction lines strange behaviour - using CAD 2015 - why XL can only be inserted as hor. or vert. line, where is previous versions option where you can set center of it and after that thrghouh point?

2. When I'm selecting dimension which is annotative, CAD shows few different scales of it, which can be very anoying cause sometimes it is over whole screen. Can this be turned off?

Hello from France

Q1) Sorry not sure to well understand your question !?

Are you speaking about XLINEs ?

Have you used Xlines before on an old ACAD Version ? If Yes, which one ?

I have just drawned a few Xlines (with my 2015) at any angle : no problem !

I hope you haven't locked the Ortho Mode or Polar Mode !?

Q2) Try with SELECTIONANNODISPLAY = 0 (zero)

It could be the solution or maybe look at the System variable : ANNOALLVISIBLE

I'm speaking about XLINES, and ofc, I used them in all versions, back to 2004 (which was my first). One more important detail, this is happening when first XL point is on some osnap (for example one of edges of rectangle), not when first point is free. Orto is turned off, polar is on at 15 degrees, but XL can only be horizontal or vertical.

Second question - yes, SELECTIONANNODISPLAY turned to 0 is a solution to my problem Smiley Happy

I believe your XLINES are only constrained when OSNAPing to a Polyline while Perpendicular OSnap is running... right?   I don't know any soulution other than turning off the running Perp Osnap.
