When copy layout to end one viewport has been unlocked, changed standard scale

Hi,

I have a drawing file having one layout, while trying to copied as a duplicate for further operation looking one of the viewport has been unlocked and chaged its standard scale. I can't do copy indivisualy the viewport in to the newest layout. Is there any tips to protect this behavior of AutoCAD 2013 ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

>> I have a drawing file having one layout, while trying to copied [...]

Just one drawing with that issue? Or does that happen with every drawing (also new ones based on an AutoCAD template)?

If it's just that one drawing then you might try to run command _AUDIT to search for errors within the drawing database ... or command _WBLOCK with option "entire drawing" to create a new (repaired) drawing, and continue with that new drawing.

Hello Alfred,

We have already done your said process. After inserting the wblock in the new interface, it is OK, but, whenever add the layout from existing drawing it occurring the same issue.
Almost 42 drawing files are still waiting for preparation.
Please help.....

Hi,

You don't need to add layouts manually after running WBLOCK when you have used the "entire drawing" option within the layout-dialog.

Upload one of the drawings, so we can look into it.

 Hi Abhijit,

Like Alfred said, please post the drawing so that we can take a look.

Hi,

I don't have 2013 now, so I tried it with AutoCAD 2014.

What I see is duplicating the layout creates a defect copy of the upper-right viewport.

When I delete this one viewport and do then a copy all works well ==> is that the same for you?

I can't get the drawing repaired, _AUDIT and _RECOVER find some issues, but repairing them do not solve your defect viewport.

If you delete this one viewport and create a new one it should work.

Whatever happended here, I don't know. If there was a software/application on top of AutoCAD which created that layout and the viewports I would say this should be investigated, because technically behind the paperspace is always one invisible viewport, maybe the addon mixed something up here.

As mentioned by Alfred, that particular viewport is somehow corrupted. I've created a video below on how you can re-create the viewport:

The fixed drawing is also attached to this post.
