Log into the Autodesk Student Community and start the process as though you were going to download AutoCAD again.

You do not need to finish the process.

As you go through the process - you will be assigned a student license Serial Number and Product Code.

Take note of these codes (they will probably be emailed to you as well.

Now go back and start your trial version of AutoCAD

but

instead of running in trial mode - click the option to Activate your student license and follow the on-screen instructions.

So Easy!

Where is your instructor?

BTW - All Autodesk software initially installs in 30-day trial mode.

I always tell my students to run in 30-day trial mode even if they already have their student serial number to make sure everything is running correctly BEFORE Activating their free 3-yr student license.

It's easy if you know the answer.  There are no stupid questions ... only stupid answers.
