I'm setting AutoCAD 2015 up on multiple machines and I've noticed that on single-monitor setups there's a glitch on the right-hand side of the window when it is maximized. The glitch shows up as either a blue or gray and black striped border on the right side only -- see attachments.
For multi-monitor setups the glitch is not present.
That's not supposed to be there...
Borders should only show up when it is in windowed mode, not maximized mode. No previous AutoCAD version or any other windows program I've ever seen exhibits this behavior.
I've got a 2011 session maximized at the moment, and it's showing a border on both left and right edges - though less apparent on the left side. appears to be about the same number of pixels as your images show.
Interesting. I've never seen that happen before and I definitely would have noticed it because it would drive me nuts. Thankfully, the problem doesn't show up for me on my multi-monitor setup. I suppose that could be the result of a video card issue with AutoCAD, which would make sense since we're having video card issues right now.
I have this border in both AutoCAD 2012 and 2014 versions when maximized even when using multiple monitors. Although not as wide/pronounced as the ones in your 2015 screen shots.
See attached screen shots. May have to zoom in to see them.
It was happening on a rig with the same specs as mine (except only one monitor, 1920x1200): See signature below.
Video Card is AMD FirePro V4900.
2014 Maybe it's a "Windows setting " ? I don't have it on eith desktop or Laptop Windows 7 enterprize
Not on desktop 2013 either !

Well, there's obviously more to this than I originally thought and it's clearly not an issue exclusive to 2015. Still, it shouldn't be there. As far as long-time AutoCAD bugs to fix go, I'm guessing this would be pretty low on everyone's list (including mine), but it would be nice to see things like that being fixed. They obviously spent a lot of time re-tooling the interface in 2015. I think a little time devoted to fixing this issue wouldn't have been unreasonable, if they even knew about it in the first place.
This is worse than I thought.
1. On Win 7, the main window is not fully extended on maximized view. The desktop background can be seen near the AutoCAD window border.
This border is present on one, two or three edges.
I attached:
- 1 screenshot from Win 7 aero theme.
(you can see near Copy button a part of letter "A". It's from a desktop shortcut !!! Also, the toolbar buttons are cropped).
- 2 screenshots from Win 7 classic theme.
2. On Win 8.x, even if the program is started maximized, the main window is displayed sometimes beneath the statusbar.
This must be fixed very fast because it is very annoying.
I have a similar problem with the sides of the maximized screen on Autocad 2015
Sometimes I can see thru to the desktop, other times I can see what appears to be another set of Toolbars, but
actually it is not. (Not selectable or moveable(See screen shoot

I have this problem too.The problem seems to be related to using windows 'classic' theme. When I switch to a newer theme (Win 7 Basic / Aero),the problem is fixed... but I won't!
CLEANSCREEN just adds a border all the way around, so I'm not sure that's a good solution either. Plus, you lose your palettes with that.
Problem still exisits in 2016
Seems to me it started with 2015 as I did not have it in 2014.
Did'nt autodesk change their "Display Engine" (Whatever it's called) begining with 2015 ???
This is when I started seeing the borders (See thru to desktop) when Maximised.
