Printing DWG to PDF and have the filename to save as only the Sheet Tab Name

I want to be able to print multiple drawings to PDF either Sheet Set Manager or the Publish command and have the files save individualy with only the tab name in the file name.  Is there a way to do this just by manipulating setting in autocad or the pc3 file?  It seems like this is a problem that could be with in the pc3 file.  I have also notice when you include a period within the model file name of the tab name the generated name when printed does not include anything after then period.  I wonder if it is also possible to remove everything in front of a certain character.

In the publish dialog box select Publish Options and set the type to single sheet file.

This will publish the sheets to single file PDFs

I understand that portion, it is the naming convention I would like to manipulate.

Nothing built in will do what you want, just as you have observed.

Using the built in Autocad DWG to PDF pc3 file allows me to do exactly what I want to do.

... as the "plotter named in pagesaetup" for all the layouts? your self-selected solution has no explanation for others to follow.
