On screen display

I seem to have lost my on screen prompts. For example when i LAYDEL and use NAME to select the layer to delete, the Name display does not appear thus not allowing me to select the required layer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be that your dialog box is off the screen.

Thanks for the reply patchy, and you will have to excuse my ignorance, but if the dialogue box is of screen how do i find it and recover?
