Internal Error crashes 2016 Autocad Civil 3d

I keep getting an Internal Error message upon startup that freezes the program and forces me to close.  Not everytime, but without fail it happens every day.  I tried researching the error but with no luck.  Anyone know what this is about?

INTERNAL ERROR: Class 'AecsImpGeomCurveConCompTempl' parent named 'AecsImpGeomConComp' not found.

Thanks,

Erick

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you still see this error if you log on as a different user? Perhaps there is something broken in your user profile. Please test this and post your results so I can try to resolve your issue.

HI erickdWFGS4,

I searched through my dataset and didn't find that exact error. If you are a local Admin on your workstation you could create another local administrator account so that you could log on and try it that way as I suggested previously.

If that is not an option, you can try to Reset to Default Settings. This is available under the Program from the Start button. Since this is not just AutoCAD I can have this thread moved to the CIvil 3D Forum if you like. It sounds like an add-in might be failing to load.

Give this a try and post your results. I will continue to look through my resources to find you a more complete answer and I will post to this thread. Please let me know if you would like me to have this thread moved to the other Forum.

Please hit the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.

Good Morning John,

I have not tried to log in as another user, but I have reset the settings to see if that is the problem. The program booted up just fine this morning so I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks
