What are your system specs? OS, RAM, exact version of ACAD, etc...
I would suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling the Express Tools. This often fixes issues with the tools not working.

Please mark this post as a solution if this fixes your problem.

I'm happy to hear that the Express Tools are now working. What type of a script are you trying to run? Is this something custom that you created or downloaded? Can you provide a screen capture showing the error and what you are selecting when you get the error?
we use a utility called iClean to clean up dwg's generated from Inventor. It calls on a few different scripts for vairious tasks, one of which is to remove infomation from the title block created in models space from Inventor, and transfew it to a titleblock in Paper space in AutoCAD. See attached capture and notice the error in the comand line.
I think that there are a couple of things to try:
1. Try running AutoCAD as an administrator. Right click on the desktop shortcut and select properties and check "Run this program as an administrator" on the Compatibility tab.
2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the utility that you are using.
3. Try running a repair on the AutoCAD installation.
4. Make sure that the path to the utility that you are running is included in the Trusted Locations paths in the AutoCAD options Files tab.
Thanks for the help. PLease see responses below.
1. Try running AutoCAD as an administrator. Right click on the desktop shortcut and select properties and check "Run this program as an administrator" on the Compatibility tab.
Answer: doesn't seem to make a difference
2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the utility that you are using.
Answer: Uninstalled however I believe that instal simply places scripts into locations. Scripts still run after install.
3. Try running a repair on the AutoCAD installation.
Answer: Repaired and reinstalled with no change.
4. Make sure that the path to the utility that you are running is included in the Trusted Locations paths in the AutoCAD options Files tab.
Answere: paths added with no change. This did get express tools to work correctly.
Could I be missing a reference to a library of script commands?
Cheers
I'm not sure what else to suggest. You might want to try posting this question on the Customization forum. Maybe someone there would have an idea of how to get rid of the error.

Hi,
>> we use a utility called iClean
I guess you'll have to ask the vendor of this tool.
