zoom extents in paperspace

when i use zoom extents command in ps layout flies way off into space and i cant get it back unless i undo. please help with limits or scale

There is probably something, a block or a line or another entity, far-far away from your page: Zoom Extents means just that, find everything and zoom out to include them all.

Try ERASE command and go around the edges with a window.

I have had this problem pop up on occasion - make sure everything is unfrozen and unlocked, so you can find whatever object is hanging out there.

also check for a wipeout w/ frame turned off.  That has burned me in the past.
