I have used Autocad for 25 years and this is by far the worst version of "Help" I can remember. To say it is worthless implies it is of zero value, but in truth it is less then worthless, because it not only is not answering my questions, it is wasting my time.
I'm just going to put a copy of the 2010 help files locally on my machine.
I sometimes wonder if Autodesk has this OCD need to find things that work well and break them.
It's always a mystery to me why Ralph Grabowski can write such comprehensive and useful reference texts for AutoCAD each year and that same information isn't in the program Help system itself. If it is I certainly haven't found it... and usually go to the hardcopy for a definitive answer when I need one. Even if all Autodesk did was mimick, insert, and index this level of detail in their system they would have something more useful. But Ralph isn't the only one making money on the poor program help system... Amazon.com and others are filled with titles just waiting for those who can't find what they need on their screen when they want it.
I had 2013 on my computer for all of about an hour last week and that was it. It won't go back on until the hotfixes and SP's are issued. I'm quite happy with 2012 until the dust settles.
