Unhandled Exceptions

Upon opening one specific file I receive a message window that will not let me access the file no matter how many times I click Continue or X.

It reads: "Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.  If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Object reference not set to an instance of object."

The window has a Details drop down menu with a lot of code which reads:

"Application does not support just-in-time (JIT)
debugging. See the end of this message for details.

...

Application does not support Windows Forms just-in-time (JIT)

debugging. Contact the application author for more
information."

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.  Should I attach the file?

Hi,

>> Upon opening one specific file I receive a message window

Try to run command _RECOVER instead of _OPEN to first check the file's database before it get's loaded.

If that does not help create a new drawing and use command _INSERT to get the content of the 'defect' file inserted and editable.

If the all does not help you can:

  • show us all details of a message (especially the part you shortened "..."), best would be to copy the content into a text file and upload that one.
  • show us the drawing that seems to be unloadable.
