Hi,

the path in Windows is limited in length. So try to move your installation-files into a folder in a higher hierarchy (e.g. C:\TEMP) and try to start the installer again.

Another options might be to first extract the EXE (at least it's a self-extracting zip that you can unzip manually) and start the setup.exe in it.

Good luck, - alfred -

I know the original post from this thread is a couple of years old, but we just experienced this same issue so I thought I would share the solution (at least what worked here).

Be sure to turn off your anti-virus software prior to running the install.  In our case, Trend was protecting some of the folders required for the install.

I have seen this in the past with other anti-virus software, but this is the first time I have seen it happen with Trend.

Hope it helps!

Great post - that was my problem as well.  My Dad had installed Trend on my laptop.  I guess you can't get a virus if you can't do installs 🙂

+1 on that!

I was installing IDSP 2017 and the same message came up.

Turning off Trend done the trick.
