Slow "save as" in Autocad 2011 with 2007 format

Hi

 

ihave big problem to save in Autocad 2011, then we save in 2007 DWG format it takes up to 3-4 min even local this problem exist, reinstalled i computer totally clean, no antivirus just windows 7 and updated,

even  disabled fidelity. then i save in 2010 format it goes fast.

 

anyone any ideas?

Hi,

 

are you working in plain AutoCAD or has the drawing seen sometimes a vertical product like ACA or Civil3D or ....

What happens if you try command _AUDIT or open the file with command _RECOVER?

What happens if you try to run command _-EXPORTTOAUTOCAD (if this command is available to your AutoCAD)?

The slow save/conversion from AutoCAD2011 to an earlier version is typical and normal.

Thanks for answer ! but if this is typical for Autocad 2011 ,why this behavoir only happens for som users then saving in 2007 format? /Tommy

Hi,

 

we have to differentiate to what are the times for saving normal and saving back to an old format.

If normal save uses 2 minutes, then saving back may use 3-4 minutes, depending on some settings like SAVEFIDELITY.

If normal save is done within a few seconds, then 3-4 minuts is not usual.
