Can someone tell me how to create a Shortcut key "Alt + c" for "File - close" command? I like the same seeting as my Inventor seeting, and the Inventor is so easy to setup my Shortcut keys use "Tools-Customise-Keyboard".
Thanks in advance.
Then go to TOOLS - CUSTOMISE - INTERFACE, select KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS. Then try and work out how to use that abortion of a dialogue box to actually asign a keystroke combination to do anything because I'm damned if I can figure it out.
Looks like you can't use ALT for some bizzare reason. So perhaps use CTRL+ALT+C.
I'm having a hard time understanding CUI as well.
I'm trying to assign standard CTRL+W to close the file (not exit software) but I'm having no luck. I'm currently using 2012.
Someone may find this info useful, I have achieved my objective by doing the following:
1) Open CUI > Keyboard Shortcuts > Shortcut Keys
2) then follow instruction as per Help
To create a shortcut key, you start by dragging a command from the Commands List pane to the Shortcut Keys node in the Customizations In <file name> pane. Once you create a shortcut key, you assign a key combination to it.
