I just installed Autocad 2010 student, and now my microsoft wireless mouse 4000 will not pan when I press the scroll button. I have read a few older post that talk about Mbuttons but I can't find how to change my Mbutton from 0 to 1 or whatever it is supposed to be. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I am not the most computer savy so please make it as simple as you can I am retarted when it comes to settings. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

The problem is usually related to settings in the mouse driver. The
centre button/wheel must be assigned to "middle button" or some other
terminology - usually the driver's default setting are incorrect for
AutoCAD.

You usually have to set your mouse driver so that the middle
button/wheel is configured to "Middle Button" or similar. mbuttonpan
should be 1. Different drivers use different terminology.

I am having similar problems. My "mbuttonpan" is set to 1. Only in SOME files, I am not able to scroll using the mouse wheel. There is a bar on the side and bottom that needs to be selected and dragged to scroll. How do I get back to the wheel scroll? Some files scroll fine.

>>>...Only in SOME files...<<<
Could this be a rotated UCS issue? Can you share one such file here?

not if it happened after installing a new mouse driver. You need to set
your mouse software to have your wheel as "Middle Button" for AutoCAD or
whatever is similar in the MS mouse setup (I use a Logitech mouse).

I have an HP pc and an HP mouse, keyboard, and monitor. But, my mouse is totally backwards. if i scroll down ACAD scrolls out if i scroll up ACAD scrolls in. If i press the pan button, it will stick zoom in place.  I really need to figure this out, i have tried researching it on google, even on here. I cannot get any of my work done with out this fixed. (I am using ACAD 2011 Mechanical Engineering edition). Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
