Script Error (AutoCAD Mechanical 2011)

Hello,

I have a script file generated by a software which when loaded in AutoCAD gives a wrong profile.

But when I copy and paste the entire script in AutoCAD, it works fine.

Could anyone help please! Thank you.

Please find the script file attached.

Please change the file extension from '.txt' to '.scr' as it does not allow me to attach an '.scr' file.

It works fine when I copy past the contents on to AutoCAD, but gives an entirely different profile when I load the file and run it!

Thank you for replying.

Plain AutoCAD here.

See screenshot: first is SCRIPT command, selecting your file, and running it.

Second is dragging and dropping your SCR file into an open AutoCAD window.

Third is a copy/paste into the command line from inside your script file.

is there another method for me to try?

All look the same (I moved each so they would not overlap). All look the same to me:

Perhaps if you post an image of the "bad" result, it might help to solve the mystery.

Another thought, since you indicated you're running Mechanical, is that it may have something to do with a setting in your current profile (though I don't know what that might be).  Assuming you normally use a Mechanical profile, try it with a "vanilla" profile.

... or just turn off any running Osnaps?

Hello,

Thank you so much. PROBLEM SOLVED! You gave me the key.

I was working on AutoCAD Mechanical, while all I had to do was to use plain AUTOCAD!!!!!! Stupid me.

I ran the script in plain AUTOCAD and it works fine.

The script is generated by a software which is linked to AUTOCAD MECHANICAL. So I had to change the settings to plain AUTOCAD in the software, and now it works fine.

I am still not sure why it is not working in AUTOCAD MECHANICAL though.

Just as you asked, these are the different profiles created in AUTOCAD MEACHANICAL.

Thanks again for taking time and helping out. Much appreciated.
