many variations of a basic object with Interactive dimensioning

Dear all,

I have to copy the same structure about 200 times ans vary the size of the two ellipses. What would be the easiest way to do so.

I would love to just change the dimension text to do so. I appreciate any help. The minor axis length come from an excel file. would it be possible to somehow read this data automatically, change the axix leghts and the id?

A dynamic block with visual states may be the way to go depending on how many variations you have. You could then select the text definition in a pull down menu and the object would update based on the visual state associated. However, if there are 200 variations, then I'd say this method would be impractical.

Search the customization and dynamic block forums. I'm sure someone has developed something like this before or close enough that a little modification would give you the results you desire.
