Importing 2013 DWG's

I am using Ver. 2012 and I'm working on a building layout that involves more than one supplier and I'm importing X-REF's from newer versions of AutoCAD.

At least I think they are coming in from 2013 drawings but I might be wrong about that part.

Some of the blocks are importing with what I seem to remember being called bounding boxes appearing attached.

They are quite a bit larger than the blocks but with the size of the building involved they still end up crossing through portions of the building.

I have looked and I haven't been able to figure out if I can turn the outer box off in my drawing.

Does anyone know if; and then how; to turn them off?

Thanks,

Radar

Ask the supplier to 'Export to AutoCAD" the files for you to be able to see the missing ProxyObjects (bounding boxes), if setting PROXYSHOW and PROXYGRAPHICS in your AutoCAD to 1 does not help.

WOW!

That was fast!

I'll try changing those settings to see if it works and get back to you.

Thanks for the advice Dean.

I changed both of those settings as you stated but the boxes are still visable.

I can work around it but it's just one of those things that bug me.

Ask the file creator to help, see the first sentence in my first reply, the command they need to use (if they are using AutoCAD) is -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD (there is a dash in the command name).
