Illustrator to Autocad.

I am converting some Illustrator files to Autocad for a friend. Basically it seems to be OK, but there is one problem that I cannot get round. The illustrator equivalent of "Blocks" seems to be "Groups". In the Illustrator files there are no groups, but in Autocad there are 785 blocks, named Block 1 to Block 785.

Many of these blocks contain just one line.

I can get rid of them by "exploding" them, but why does this happen.??

Thanks for any help.

Barry Cole.

Illustrator is a fair but not great DWG converter: have you discovered all the splines everywhere too?
